长安村位于郊尾镇东北部，东侧依傍马鼻山，周边与新和、后沈、埕边、长岭四村相连。村子地势自东北向西南倾斜，海拔38米。324国道穿过长安一段。[1]

民国时，此地与长岭共为一保。村名取长岭的“长”字和刘埔安仁宫的“安”字，合成“长安”。[1]

2024年1月，村子获评「2023年福建省卫生村」；同年9月，被认定为「2024年莆田市“一村一品”专业村」，主导产业是工艺品。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时，村地分为麦厝、打铁店、后连三村，同属香田里。民国时并入长安保，归香田镇。中华人民共和国成立前改属香田乡，1950年隶属第三区，并与后沈、埕边合编为三和乡。[1]

1952年，后沈和埕边析出，长安仍与长岭合为一村。1955年3月属第四区，1956年6月并入埕边乡，此时归枫亭区。1958年9月另设长安大队，隶属郊尾公社；1962年与长岭分开，其后改称长安村。1984年11月，村里设立了村民委员会，归郊尾乡所辖；直到1985年3月才改归郊尾镇。[1][2]

村下辖打铁店、后连天、帐尾、刘埔等九个自然村，共19个村民小组。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

长安放光岩寺旧址在马鼻山半山腰，属古建筑，为仙游县第二批县级文物保护单位。[1]
