新丰村在梧塘镇政府东南约2.5公里处，坐落于涵永公路以南，离涵江城区约3公里。全村由埔头、顶厝尾与西郑三个自然村构成，地形兼有平原和丘陵坡地。[1]

地名由来[edit]

埔头与顶厝尾原属同一座宫的信众范围，后分为两个社，埔头称新丰南社，顶厝尾称新丰北社。村委会因此取“新丰”作为村名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后，此地为东坡乡的辖地。1956年并入东坡高级公社，1958年归东坡大队。1984年，它成为梧塘乡东坡村委会的一部分；1985年改称梧塘镇新丰村委会。2002年以后，村委会属涵江区梧塘镇。[1][2]
