长安村隶属福清市高山镇，属镇乡结合区，村子南面临海。村名「长安」由旧名「长江」改来。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子南面临海，形如大江，原名「长江」。村民希望长久安乐地生活，便取「长安」之名，寓意长治久安。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年，大队改为长安村委会。此前，村子曾属高山公社长安大队。[1]

宋代，高氏族人定居于此，后繁衍成族；明代又有何氏来村定居。清代后期，高山刘厝的刘姓男子入赘高氏，此后村中形成刘姓一支。[1]

宋代此地属平南里五十九都，有长江境，元代沿袭。明代属北一隅平南里五十九都图4，清代属高山镇；1933年属竹秀保甲分1甲。[1]
