石塘村地处永泰、德化、尤溪三县交界处，属盖洋乡管辖。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域东面与前湖村相邻，西面与德化县淳湖村相接，南面与尤溪县华山村相接，北面隔着湖头村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

旧时此地有一座用石块垒砌的大池塘，村名由此而来。[1]

清代归和平乡应达里三十六都管辖，1915年至1935年间属南区。1958年本村成为嵩口公社盖洋管理区下的石塘生产大队，1961年隶属盖洋人民公社，1984年改设石塘村委会。[1]
