历史沿革[edit]
1950年设行政村，此后1957年建高级社，随后1958年为生产队，继而1983年称石塘乡，再后1986年设村委会，此后1989年称管理办事处，随后1999年定名石塘村民委员会。到2021年3月1日，县人民政府批复同意，把石塘村民委员会拆分成石塘、石头塘两个。[1]
荣誉[edit]
广东省爱卫会于2023年5月将该村的班鱼塘村评为「2022年广东省卫生村」；石塘村另在2022年9月被认定为2022年湛江市文明村。[1]
