新塘社区是浙江省杭州市上城区彭埠街道下辖的社区，位于运河以西、秋涛路以东，北与皋塘社区毗邻，南连景芳小区。社区总面积约0.75平方千米，户籍人口3820人。[1]社区前身为新塘行政村，其地丝织业历史悠久，是「杭纺」「杭罗」的发源地之一。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初期，新塘一带在土地改革时期成立互助组，1956年组建农业生产合作社，1958年成立人民公社，后设笕桥人民大公社新塘管理区。[2]1984年撤大队改为村。[2]1971年3月，原五七大队分开，改为新塘大队。[2]2003年撤村建居，改为新塘社区，原新塘居民区的范围也一并纳入社区管理。[2]

社区下设6个居民小组，并有5个农民小组，总户数1200余户，设9个组级支部和1个企业党支部。社区设有社区警务室、居家养老服务站和「一站式」服务大厅。[1]
