历史沿革[edit]
莲光在1952年属万福乡，1965年随埔仔洞大队归莲花山公社；1973年5月分出，成立莲光大队，1987年起为村委会，1989年一度称管理区办事处，1998年重新设村委会。[1]
地理与经济[edit]
全村面积约18平方千米，耕地2400亩，山林32000亩，党员22人；以山茶和水稻为主要产业，当年村集体收入2.2万元，人均纯收入3852元。村是海丰的革命老区之一。[2]
荣誉[edit]
莲光村于2019年10月入选广东省卫生村名录。[1]
