万中村在海城镇西北部，是海城镇最偏远的村委会，分8个村民小组，共约1663人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
万中最早是海丰三区万福乡的一部分，1958年被划进莲花公社的埔仔洞大队，1966年另立万中大队。其后改乡（1984年）、村委会（1987年）、办事处（1989年），1998年再次定为村委会。[1]
村民小组[edit]
村民小组以聚落命名，有下洋、下洋坝、塘面、黄仙坑、李木派，以及石湖余、石湖宋和石洲寨三个以石字起头的小组。[1]
地理与经济[edit]
村域约22平方千米，地处山岗，到县城20公里，到镇区23公里，对外仅有一条过境公路。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年10月，万中村进入广东省卫生村名录；次年8月，它凭百香果成为省首批“一村一品”专业村之一。[1]
