长埔村是海城镇北部的山区村，村委会从海银公路3公里处向北约600米，辖8个村民小组，约2380人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
长埔最早隶属海丰建政一区的守望乡，后并入桂望乡，1958年算莲花公社桂望大队的地方。1970年脱离桂望大队，自成长埔大队并归海城镇；之后的名称是农业管区（1984年）、村委会（1987年）、管理区办事处（1989年），到1998年又恢复村委会。[1]
经济[edit]
村在丘陵山岗地带，靠近市区4公里。集体经济以造林为主，种生态林和经济林；水田种稻，旱地种蔬菜、花生、番薯，山塘养淡水鱼，塘基上养猪。[1]
荣誉[edit]
长埔村在2019年10月上了广东省卫生村名录，2026年1月又成为广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村。[1]
