水龟寮村是遮浪街道办事处所在的行政村，总人口2836人，以渔业为主。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年7月，水龟寮与宫前、合港、红坎、四石柱、田寮合并成乡；1958年单独设水龟寮大队，1980年改乡，1987年改管区，1999年设村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
传统作业有中海拖围和浅海刺围，鲍鱼、斑鱼、海胆等高档水产养殖是发展方向。旅居香港的乡贤和商人曾捐资办教育等公益事业。[1]
2023年，街道在该村收储闲置旧厝21间，引入多家咖啡店和小店，形成夜间的“玲珑小市”；水龟寮老市场的重建项目也在办理用地手续。[2]
