凤头村位于梅州市平远县八尺镇北部，辖15个村民小组，在册514户、2106人，总面积9.55平方千米，耕地1835亩。[1]
地名由来[edit]
明代中叶冯、韩两姓祖先迁来定居，起初叫凤翔，清初改称凤头。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国初期称凤头乡，人民公社化后的1958年改设大队，其后1983年改回（小）乡，1987年起设村民委员会，期间1989年改称管理区，至1999年4月为凤头村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
种植甜玉米、脐橙、烤烟和水稻制种；据该页所载，上一年农村经济总收入899万元。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
凤头进士第为明代的古建筑，梅州市人民政府在2016年6月29日将其列入第四批市级文物保护单位。[2]
荣誉[edit]
省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位之一（2019年9月公布）。[1]
