樟田村位于梅州市平远县八尺镇南部，辖8个村民小组，在册180户、664人，总面积8.43平方千米，耕地566亩。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村在樟田河下游，地势低，暴雨时耕地和部分房屋常被水淹，原写作「漳田」；新中国成立后改「漳」为「樟」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国初期称樟田乡，人民公社化后的1958年改设大队，1965年冬至1975年冬隶属国营楼前农场，其后1983年改回（小）乡，1987年起设村民委员会，1999年4月定名为樟田村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
主要种植西瓜和水稻制种；据该页所载，上一年农村经济总收入350万元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位之一（2019年9月公布）；另于2026年3月被认定为省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
