角坑村位于梅州市平远县八尺镇西部，辖20个村民小组，在册463户、1824人，总面积9.11平方千米，耕地1303亩。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村落在角山嶂北麓，有四个界线分明的大自然村，地势多坑洼，故名角坑。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国初期称角坑乡，人民公社化后的1958年改设大队，其后1983年改回（小）乡，1987年起设村民委员会，期间1989年改称管理区，至1999年4月为角坑村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
种植甜玉米、西瓜和水稻制种；据该页所载，上一年农村经济总收入805万元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
省文化和旅游厅在2019年9月首次认定广东省文化和旅游特色村，该村在内；同年12月又进入首批国家森林乡村；2023年4月，该村也是省2022年乡村治理示范村的创建单位。[1]
