八尺村位于梅州市平远县八尺镇的圩镇，镇政府驻此，属镇中心区。辖23个村民小组，在册597户、2315人，总面积4.11平方千米，耕地1665亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年为八尺乡，1958年改称八尺大队，1983年称八尺（小）乡，1987年起设村民委员会，1989年一度称管理区，1999年4月复称为八尺村民委员会。[1]

种植脐橙、烤烟和水稻制种，以订单农业为增收途径；据该页所载，上一年农村经济总收入1167万元。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村名与八尺镇同源，有陨石、八尺宽街道、八尺长门槛石三种说法。[1]
荣誉[edit]
广东省爱国卫生运动委员会于2017年10月将其列为首批省卫生村。[1]
