历史沿革[edit]
村委会驻地在上吉輋内，故称上吉。[1]1956年后为上吉高级社，1959年后是上吉大队；至1983年后改乡；1987年又后称管理区；直到1999年称村委会。[1]

经济作物有烤烟、水稻和番薯，烤烟为特色收入。[1]
2019年9月，广东省公布2018年度民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位，该村名列其中。[1]
