新东村是广东省梅州市丰顺县潘田镇所辖的行政村，全村面积13.09平方千米，在册人口2268人（博雅地名网所载，年份未注明）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
因位于潘田镇的东面，取名新东。[1]1956年后归新东高级社，1959年称新东大队；至1983年改乡；1987年又称管理区；直到1999年起称新东村村委会。[1]
经济[edit]
经济作物有烤烟、水稻、生姜和番薯，番薯为特色收入；据所载，上一年农村经济总收入为1601万元；2009至2010年间得到广州市教育局“双到”帮扶。[1]
2019年12月，该村进入首批国家森林乡村之列；2019年9月，广东省公布2018年度民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位，该村名列其中。[1]
