历史沿革[edit]
村里的田地成片，望去如江面一般，“田”与“填”同音，故称填江。[1]1956年隶填江高级社，1959年称填江大队；至1983年改乡；1987年又称管理区；直到1999年成立村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
经济作物有烤烟、水稻和番薯，烤烟是村里的特色收入；据所载，上一年的农村经济总收入为1601万元。[1]
2019年9月，广东省公布2018年度民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位，该村名列其中。[1]
