历史沿革[edit]
明代属青溪社，清代属永青甲，民国三十二年（1943年）属石上区永青村。1949年后归埔北区青溪乡，1958年随青溪并入埔城公社；1961年另立河背大队，隶青溪公社；1983年12月称河背乡，1986年12月称河背村，1988年改管理区，1998年改设村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村民种粮养猪、种烤烟，山上养羊，并在水库捕鱼，也在建设库区旅游区；年度农村经济总收入记为1085万元。[1]2020年8月，河背村（蜜柚）进入「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」。[1]
