历史沿革[edit]
明嘉靖三十六年（1557年）这里属平沙社，清乾隆九年（1744年）属坪沙甲，民国三十二年（1943年）属石上区。1949年后先后归永平乡、埔北区平沙乡、青溪乡；1958年10月起称下坪沙，后改为生产大队。1983年改乡，1986年设管理区，1998年成为村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村里种水稻、烤烟，另有水果收入；年度农村经济总收入记为2178万元。该地气候多云雾、日照偏少、气温偏低。[1]2026年3月，下坪沙村获认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]
