历史沿革[edit]
清末这里属西厢堡；1931年为第一区的一部分，1941年入黄寨乡，1952年划城北乡，1956年划城西乡。1958年冬编入卫星人民公社，设黄塘大队，1965年转城郊人民公社，1975年8月起归新设的西郊人民公社。1983年11月公社改区，村称黄塘乡，1987年起设村委会，1989年称黄塘管理区，后又改为村民委员会。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村中有黄泥溪，溪水带着浑浊的黄泥流入大塘，村因此称黄塘。[1]
