新和村在惠东县白盆珠镇。新和大队从双金大队分出时，各取原有的“六和”“新寮”两村的一个字，合成新和。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1937年9月，新和乡属惠阳县第三区，署设横沥镇；1950年同双金、沐化并成双金乡，1951年12月为新和小乡，1957年12月并入潼湖乡，1958年起算作双金大队的一部分。1987年3月，根据惠东府函〔1987〕14号文从双金分设新和村委，1989年建新和管理区，1998年起称新和村委会。[2]
荣誉[edit]
新和村名列2019年9月公布的2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2026年1月又获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
