双金村在惠东县白盆珠镇。据说祖先建村时请风水先生察看，先生说这里有东龙和直龙两条龙脉经过，是聚财之地，所以取名双金。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
同治九年（1870）村称双金小村，隶升平社堡，由平山司巡检管辖。民国二十年（1931）8月，设双金乡，归惠阳县多祝第三区。新中国成立后的1950年，双金乡由双金、新和、沐化三地合成；1951年12月，惠阳县第二十二区的区府就设在双金。其后它并入新庵乡，1958年成大队，1963年2月入新庵公社，1977年沐化分出，1984年又称乡。1987年3月，依惠东府函〔1987〕14号文，双金与新和各设村委；1989年称管理区，1999年起为双金村委会。[2]
