历史沿革[edit]
相传明代房氏从普宁县迁来此处。同治九年（1870），白马被称作白马小村，归升平社堡，由平山司巡检管；新中国成立初它属横江碗窑乡。往后是几次并入又分出横江：1958年为横江大队的白马片，1962年自立大队，1964年并回，1977年再分，1984年叫白马乡。1987年3月，据惠东府函〔1987〕14号文设村委，1989年称管理区，1998年成为白马村委会。[1][2]
荣誉[edit]
白马村在2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单，12月入选第二批国家森林乡村；2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局将它确定为2021年度「乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2023年11月入选「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
白马窑址分布在白马河两岸，窑场烧造于明代弘治至嘉靖年间，2015年公布为省级文物保护单位。[3]
