历史沿革[edit]
村于1998年经德庆县人民政府批准设立，因驻地在上咀村而得名。据博雅地名网所载，1949年新中国成立时为德庆县马圩一区人民政府，当时称光明社，后与上咀、下咀联合为河口大队，归新圩公社管辖；此后属石角公社、区公所；1976年与下咀分开，另设上咀管理区，1998年后称上咀村委会。[1]

下辖7个村民小组，有农户346户、总人口1757人（未注年份）。[1]
经济[edit]
耕地面积1265亩，距县城区约5公里，321过境公路穿村而过。[1]2026年1月，村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
