历史沿革[edit]
塘北原属马圩区，公社化以前有塘州和百丈两个高级社；1958年成立人民公社时二社并为一个大队，各取一字叫塘百大队，后来把「百」改写成「北」，就成了塘北。[1]此前的1951至1956年，这里归马圩的大安乡。1958年撤乡后，塘北是马圩人民公社下的生产大队；1983年称塘北乡，1986年11月设村民委员会，1989年5月改称管理区，1998年后又回到村民委员会的名称。[1]

下辖8个村民小组，有农户342户、总人口1536人（未注年份）。[1]
经济[edit]
耕地面积1098亩，距县城区约15公里，村集体靠发包固定资产取得收入。[1]
