历史沿革[edit]
原称金星，大队设于1958年，乡设于1983年；1989年改名金群管理区，1998年成立村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村内水利、交通、通讯条件较好，但资源缺乏。群众以水稻为主，兼种糖蔗、蚕桑、蔬菜，外出务工也是收入来源。村集体经济收入薄弱。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月，评上「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
