历史沿革[edit]
塘岗在1955年是高级社，1958年是大队，后来先后叫乡（1983年）和管理区（1987年）；1998年11月，经怀集县政府批准（怀发〔1998〕20号），村民委员会成立。[1]
经济[edit]
村民种水稻之外，开有饮食店4家、小型加工厂5家，涉及羽绒加工、塑胶和蜡烛生产；外出务工是主要收入来源。村集体经济收入薄弱。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月，评上「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]梁需润（1901—1930年）是该村人，参加革命，1930年在阳山县被害。[1]
