历史沿革[edit]
相传这里先后住过罗、密两姓，密姓后迁往别处，村名合用了两个姓氏。[1]建制依次是：1958年设罗密大队，1983年11月改乡，1987年称村委会，1989年4月称管理区，1998年成立村民委员会。[1]
地理环境与经济[edit]
总人口3774人（未注明年份），离镇政府约6公里；山多田少，全村有山地31235.55亩，其中2000亩租给造林公司种植速生丰产林。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
博雅地名网称甘洒镇的名胜以罗密古兵营最出名，尚待开发。[1][2]黄凡元烈士墓修于1962年，位于寨坳墩山上，属上下新屋村民小组，墓中安葬解放战争时期牺牲的当地烈士。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，在2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位之列。[1]
