历史沿革[edit]
1998年11月，怀集县人民政府以怀发〔1998〕20号文批准成立钱村村村民委员会；因村里钱姓居民居多，故名。[1]此前的建制依次是：1958年设钱村大队，1983年11月改乡，1987年称村委会，1989年4月称管理区。[1]
地理环境与经济[edit]
全村面积约8.96平方公里，总人口2668人（未注明年份），离镇政府约6公里，水泥路已通到与广宁县的交界处。[1]山多田少，全村有山地11253.3亩，除租出部分山地种植速生丰产林外，村民另在山上栽茶杆竹，并种竹笋、沙糖桔、蜜柚、栗子、茶叶。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，在2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位之列。[1]
