屈东村是甘洒镇的行政村，位于怀集至阳山的省道沿线，离镇政府约2公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来由：西边的龙塘坑、白决坑流经上屈，到龙头村折向南汇入凤岗河，水向东流，故称屈东。[1]1953年这里是第三区的屈东乡；1958年屈西、金龙两乡并入，乡名不变，隶凤岗区；同年屈东与罗密两乡又合为甘洒乡，随后成为凤岗公社的屈东大队，1961年划归甘洒公社。[1]此后1983年11月属甘洒区，改乡，1987年称村委会，1989年4月称管理区，1998年成立村民委员会。[1]

地理环境与经济[edit]

全村面积约8.01平方公里，下辖12个村民小组，总人口2278人（未注明年份），地形以山坡丘陵为主。[1]村里把部分山地租给茂丰造林公司种植速生桉，并蓄水建成一座装机1000千瓦的小型水电站。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

法志董公祠在第七村，清代所建，砖木结构，坐南朝北，为三间两进两廊的格局，占地238.2平方米，面阔11.3米，进深21.08米；东廊存清光绪二十三年的「损助工金题名碑记」一通。[2]
