历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网记其地名来由：村在大岗岭山脚，岭形似象，本称「象屈」，后因方言读音和书写方便，「象」写成了「上」。[1]建制依次是：1955年设上屈高级社，1958年改大队，1983年11月改乡，1987年称村委会，1989年4月称管理区，1998年成立村民委员会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
全村面积约8.19平方公里，总人口2718人（未注明年份），离镇政府约4公里，西面与通往坳仔上洞的公路相接。[1]
经济[edit]
村内办有一家木材加工企业，沿路开了多家零售商铺，还利用山塘和坑涌建起一处立体种养基地。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，在2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位之列。[1]
