历史沿革[edit]
村名最初写作「莱苏」，因当地杂姓聚居、以莱、苏两姓最多而得名，后称来苏。[1]清代属新化都，民国属第三区来苏乡；1958年为共和公社来苏大队，1983年称来苏乡，1986年称来苏管理区，1998年起称来苏村民委员会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
江鹤一级公路和南来公路从村旁经过。村域内有兰石水库和两千多亩森林。[2]
人口民族[edit]
2008年的人口为1342人，另有501位华侨和港澳同胞；2020年户籍人口1488人。[1][2]
经济[edit]
村有耕地1033亩、鱼塘450亩、山地4500亩，种水稻、花生，也种瓜菜、豆类并养殖鱼塘，近年发展茶树种植。[1][2]村内设有民宿和文旅项目，利用闲置民居发展旅游。[2]
荣誉方面：2018年被表彰为第七批全国民主法治示范村（社区），2019年12月被认定为全国乡村治理示范村并列入第二批国家森林乡村名单，2020年11月获第六届全国文明村镇称号，2022年11月入选全国综合减灾示范社区（2021年度），2023年11月入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村，2024年4月又列入广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村的创建名单。[1]在2023年共和镇农村头雁擂台比武中，来苏村获一等奖及70万元奖金。[3]
