历史沿革[edit]
南宋咸淳二年（1266年），李姓先祖自南雄迁到本县禄洞，后代繁衍后分迁此地。[1] 村委会设在旧称南头的地方的中心，取「中」字，并寓意万事如意、胜利，称中胜村民委员会。[1] 1958年称中胜大队，1983年称中胜乡，1986年称中胜管理区，1998年起为中胜村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
2002年人口1346人，耕地93公顷、松林67公顷，主种水稻、花生，兼种茶；有粮油加工、砖瓦、米粉加工等私营企业，华侨及港澳同胞377人。[1] 2021年和2023年先后获广东省卫生村称号。[1] 《桃源镇总体规划》把中胜列为以工业为主的村。[2]
