历史沿革[edit]
村在山坑东北的高地，“坑头”与“亨头”读音相近，遂称亨头。南宋咸淳年间（1265—1274年），刘、叶两姓先祖来此立村，分别称坑头和东坑[1]。
民国时期归「第六区牛湾六堡乡（又称云峰乡）」，1951年划入牛湾乡，1958年并入罗坑人民公社牛湾管理区。1959年坑头、东坑各为一个大队，1984年合成亨头乡，1986年起又分设亨头、东坑两个村委会[1]。
地理环境[edit]
村情材料载有山地15685亩、水塘1360亩，共1356人[1]。
经济[edit]
镇的规划在亨头、天湖一带布置陈皮庄园示范区[2]；东坑蜜柚是镇内出产的水果之一[3]。
文化[edit]
2019年9月，亨头村列入2018年度广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位；2023年5月，村内的岭南村、岭西村入选2022年度广东省卫生村[1]。
