岭源村位于江门市新会区罗坑镇东南部，东与双水镇小冈社区相邻，下辖13个自然村^[1]。村名取自笋岭山下水源绵长之意，旧称岭背^[1]。村民以林姓为主^[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

林姓先祖在南宋景炎年间（1276—1278年）由镇内的石咀分支迁来立村，李、黄等姓后来也陆续迁入。明清两代县志都有岭背村的记载^[1]。

民国初年属第六区笋岭乡。1951年，岭背、潭冈、水边合为岭冈乡，乡名各取岭背的“岭”和潭冈的“冈”；1961年岭岗大队分出潭冈大队，1972年又分出和平大队，剩余部分称岭坑大队；1984年改称岭源乡，1986年设村委会^[1]。

村域面积约3.5平方千米，鱼塘1100亩，耕地1395亩，人均耕地0.4亩^[1]。

村民主要从事种植和养殖，出产荔枝、龙眼、芒果^[1]。

2023年5月，广东省爱国卫生运动委员会公布的2022年度广东省卫生村名单中有岭源村的山顶村^[1]。罗坑圩镇墙绘取材的古建筑中有岭源文阁；该镇宣传材料还称岭南古琴名家黄景星出自岭源的水边^[3]。
