七陂村在仙城镇政府驻地东北，翠峰岩北麓、深溪支流中游；明洪武二年（1369年）立寨，因沿溪所筑的水陂数到此处是第七道而得名，是一个多姓村，有周、庄、林、郭、王、黄等姓^[1]^[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

明、清至民国初期属洋乌都，1921年划入潮阳县第九区。1950年隶六禾二乡；1986年设村委会，其前的1983年称七陂乡，1958年是七陂大队，1992年叫管理区，1999年复称村委会^[1]。

总人口七千多人，耕地850亩，山地950亩，以种水稻、甘薯为主，兼做文胸、服装的小生意^[2]。七陂村在2021年10月公布的淘宝村名单（南京大学空间规划研究中心与阿里研究院联合发布）和2022年10月的名单里都有名字^[1]。

村里自述的人物有：清嘉庆年间秀才周勤谨，光绪癸未科试后点为翰林，授潮州刺史；宣统年间岁贡生周文获，考区榜首；今人有香港周氏宗亲总会永远名誉会长周炎林、林佑金（介绍写作广东省水利厅副厅长）、周镜波（介绍写作广东省党校副校长）等^[2]。
