历史沿革[edit]
明、清至民国初期属潮阳县洋乌都，1921年属第九区；1950年属八乡第三乡，1958年为榕堂大队，1983年称榕堂乡，1986年设村委会，1992年叫管理区，1999年复称村委会[1]。
地理环境与人口[edit]
面积2.4平方千米，山地500亩，耕地667亩；737户、4300人，旅外及港澳台同胞500多人[2]。
经济[edit]
以种水稻、番薯、蔬菜为主，近年开辟了300多亩柚种植基地。2021年9月，榕堂村获评「第二批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」，品类为水果[1][2]。
