老五乡社区居民委员会在仙城镇镇政府以西约1公里，与普宁市大长陇相接，南对森林公园山麓，北邻陈店镇文光乡[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历是：旧时由五个自然村组成，后来扩为七个，仍沿称老五乡。明、清至民国初期属潮阳县洋乌都，1921年属潮阳县第九区。1999年复称居委会，此前1992年叫管理区、1986年设居委会、1983年称老五乡；再往前，1981年为老五乡大队，1958年为五和大队，1950年为五和乡[1]。
人口民族[edit]
面积2.2平方千米，其中居住用地0.8平方千米。户籍介绍称总人口约1.5万，设7个村民小组、5个党支部[2]。
经济[edit]
耕地少，居民以家庭作坊的“半工业”为主，做文胸、服装等，产品销往越南、印度以及国内多个省市[2]。2019年9月，社区进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」之列[1]。
