历史沿革[edit]
村子创建于清康熙十七年（1718年），最早叫梅林。明、清至民国初期属洋乌都（博雅地名网写作潮州海阳县洋乌都），1921年划给普宁县的陈店乡公所。1950年隶八乡之第一乡，1958年成梅径大队，1983年称梅径乡，1986年设村委会，1992年叫管理区，1999年复称村委会[1]。
地理环境与人口[edit]
村分梅林、秋风、老径、新径四个自然村，共788户、4458人，旅外及港澳台同胞七百多人。总面积2.5平方千米，山地2194亩，耕地500亩[2]。
经济[edit]
村民依靠山林和农业，山上种杉、橄榄、荔枝、青梅、龙眼，田里种水稻、番薯、蔬菜，工业仅有几家小型服装厂[2]。2019年9月，梅径村进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」之列[1]。
