历史沿革[edit]
村子创建于明万历二十二年（1594年），据说祖先于1686年从福建莆田县迁来定居。明、清至民国初期属洋乌都，1921年划入潮阳县第九区。1950年隶八乡之第二乡；1986年设村委会，其前的1983年归梅径乡，1958年则是东浮山大队，1992年叫管理区，1999年复称村委会[1]。
地理环境与人口[edit]
面积198公顷，耕地696亩，山地2124亩；有672户、3682人，旅外及港澳台同胞2000多人，分三个自然村[2]。
经济[edit]
耕地种水稻、番薯、蔬菜，山地约1000亩种橄榄、荔枝、青梅、龙眼、蕉柑、油甘。村里集资200多万元建了自来水厂[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2017年10月列入第一批广东省卫生村；2026年1月被评为「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。
