古塘村在南雄市全安镇东南，离镇政府约1千米，临浈江，由原三枫、古塘、政塘三个大队合并而成。[1]

博雅地名网解释，「古」指老、旧，「塘」寓有财有粮，寓意先祖定居浈江河畔、土地肥沃之地。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年属全安乡的古塘区；1958年成立生产大队，1964年与三枫、政塘两个大队合并；1988年改管理区，1998年撤区建村。[1]
经济[edit]
约2009年前后的数据：16个村民小组，650户、2516人，耕地3270亩，主要收入为塘租、屋租等承包收入，设村卫生站2间。[1]
