相传附近水田里白鳝很多，白鳝身形似龙，因此得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1980年设白龙大队，1983年实行政社分设，改称乡，1988年转为管理区，1998年12月管理区改制，设白龙村委会。[1]
经济[edit]
全村土地面积9785亩，林地5300亩、水田1096亩、旱地837亩，村民收入主要来自水稻和黄烟。[1]
