历史沿革[edit]
该村1958年设大队，1983年设乡政府，1987年设村民委员会，1989年改设管理区，1998年恢复村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。
经济[edit]
全村200户、1074人，人均收入3605元；林地928亩，耕地724亩（水田331亩、旱地393亩），土地共1652亩；有贫困户115户552人、低保户35户71人。村民参加农村医保的比例为100%[1]。
村民收入来自种养殖和务工。往行政村去的公路当时正在铺硬化路面，自然村分布分散，通村小组的路是难题[1]。
据广东省林业局网站报道，秀水镇的油茶产业以大竹山村为中心，周边几个村的农户也加入了种植[2]。
