历史沿革[edit]
该村1958年设大队，1983年设乡政府，1987年设村民委员会，1989年改设管理区，1998年恢复村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。
经济[edit]
全村259户、1752人，水田705亩、旱地802亩、林地729亩，土地共2236亩；有贫困户122户566人、低保户48户197人。行政村已通水泥路，多数村小组未通，个别村庄连简易公路也没有[1]。
芳塘小学是完全小学，招收东边排三个村的学生，后来得到香港、广州热心人士捐资改建校舍[1]。
