路下村是马头镇辖下的行政村，在新丰县东北部[1]。据博雅地名网所载沿革，1953年设乡，1958年改称大队，1984年改设乡政府，1990年成为管理区，1998年起为村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。
村内的麻埔石桥在村委会沿X192县道往龙门方向约三公里半处，是一座单拱石桥，建于清乾隆四十六年（1781年）。全桥长15米、宽3.7米，桥身高6.4米，拱跨8.25米，以青麻石条砌成，至今完好；它是广东省文物保护单位[2]。
