红新村是曲江区大塘镇下辖的行政村。取在红色社会照耀下开始新生活之意，得名红新。[1]村委会在镇政府驻地东南约5.5公里，有9个村民小组，其中红新五队、六队为移民村，230户1068人。[1]村里每年种植莲藕约500亩，产值1750万元，年养猪33000头，鱼塘460亩。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月，红新村被评为第二批省「百千万工程」典型村；2019年9月在2018年度省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位中有名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1961年3月先设癞痢石大队，属大塘公社，同月改称红新大队，属枫湾公社；撤社建乡改革后的1983年11月起称红新乡，到1986年12月又定名红新村委会，其间1989年曾叫管理区，1998年12月恢复村委会之名。[1]
