侧田村是曲江区大塘镇下辖的行政村。相传此地早年荒草丛生、人烟稀少，后来有人迁来向富户租地耕种，称“佃田”，由此得名侧田。[1]村委会在镇政府驻地以西7.3公里，距韶关市区15公里，辖16个村民小组，约2300人，山地达2.5万亩，耕地3500亩，106国道穿过辖区。[1]村民种稻、花生和蔬菜，并种植潮菜600多亩；有生猪养殖户113户，年饲养量65000头；2009年人均纯收入4686元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，侧田村在2018年度省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位中有名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
县人民政府成立的1949年10月，这里设侧田乡政府，属第四区；1951年5月称侧田村政府；1952年3月称侧田乡，属大塘区；公社化时期（1961年3月起）为大塘公社的侧田大队；撤社建乡改革后的1983年11月起称侧田乡，到1986年12月又定名侧田村委会，其间1989年曾叫管理区，1998年12月恢复村委会之名。[1]
