西林村是曲江区大塘镇下辖的行政村。村西边曾有一片枫树林，因此得名西林。^[1]村委会在106国道旁，共353户1814人，有正式党员38人、自然村7个，耕地2340亩，以种植业和养殖业为主。^[1]

荣誉[edit]

2026年3月，西林村被认定为第三批省「百千万工程」典型村镇；2019年9月在2018年度省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位中有名。^[1]

公社化时期（1961年3月起）为大塘公社的西林大队；撤社建乡改革后的1983年11月起称西林乡，到1986年12月又定名西林村委会，其间1989年曾叫管理区，1998年12月恢复村委会之名。^[1]
