革命旧址[edit]
番禺区人民政府网称，塱边村的松露小学旧址曾是中共番禺县工作委员会驻地[2]；百度百科又提到，该旧址既是广州市的党史学习教育基地，也列为番禺区爱国主义教育基地[3]。
经济与环境[edit]
全村252户，另有流动人口约3050人，经济以出租住房、商铺和土地为主，村内企业生产手袋、表带、钟表、五金、家具等；北部有一处农场种植热带水果、养殖水产[1]。2005年起村容改造，绿化面积（含池塘水面）超过5万平方米，人均约70平方米[4]。
塱边村2021年、2022年入选淘宝村名单，2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村[1]。
