西门村位于梅林圩的西面，村名由此而来。早年有程、何、赖三姓居民在此聚居，后有吴姓从福建迁入，现存吴、何两姓。村中经营面线加工的历史较长，橄榄和油甘是主要果品。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初期，村所在地属梅峰乡。1958年公社化后并入梅峰大队；1963年脱离出来，单独设大队。1987年改设西门村委会，1989年改设管理区，1999年又改为村委会。[1]
